A notable target is Jaron Pierre Jr., a standout guard from Jacksonville State. Pierre led Conference USA with an impressive 21.6 points per game, complemented by 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists. His shooting efficiency—42.4% from the field and 38% from three-point range—earned him the Conference USA Player of the Year title. Pierre is currently visiting SMU and plans to meet with both Ole Miss and Kentucky, with the Wildcats viewing him as a valuable addition to their backcourt. Powell has had a dynamic collegiate journey, starting at North Carolina A&T, transferring to Sacramento State, and then to Georgia Tech. At Georgia Tech, he averaged 12.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Powell has attracted interest from several programs, including Kentucky, Memphis, Providence, TCU, and Ole Miss. His experience and versatility could provide a significant boost to Kentucky’s frontcourt. Originally committed to Kentucky in 2023, Quaintance decommitted following a coaching change in 2024.
