The Merseysiders lost 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday to see their lead at the top cut to just two points.
Perhaps more importantly though, City can now overtake them in the table if they win their two games in hand, starting with Monday night’s fixture away at Brentford (kick-off: 8pm).
And City’s two games in hand over Klopp’s team is why the Geman is not “nervous” after their defeat in North London. He believes that his team’s loss against the Gunners “changes nothing” when it comes to their title hopes.
“I haven’t become nervous because of two games in hand for City,” he said after Sunday’s game. “We always expect City to win all their games, to be 100% honest.
We don’t even have to watch them. That’s all fine. For us, nothing really has changed.
“We’d have loved to win here, or get a point, but for the whole 90 minutes we were not good enough. We just have to congratulate Arsenal for the three points.
