“It A Dream come True”-Former Auburn & Houston transfer DB Keionte Scott commits to Miami

Miami has picked up another defensive back through the transfer portal.

On Tuesday afternoon, Former Auburn and Houston defensive back Keiontee Scott committed to the Miami Hurricanes. He will come to Coral Gables with one more year of eligibility after playing three seasons with Auburn.

Scott moved to Auburn from Snow College, a JUCO college, in 2022 and quickly made an impact in the Tigers’ secondary. Over three seasons with the Tigers, he racked up 118 total tackles, defended 8 passes, made 1 interception, and scored 1 touchdown on a return.

This past season with the Tigers, his playing time went down, and his stats dropped due to injuries and more competition for spots, resulting in a career-low of just 18 tackles last season.

The 6-foot, 192-pound San Diego, CA native was also the SEC’s leading punt returner in 2023.Miami has stacked up on defensive backs in the offseason. He is the sixth defensive back to commit to the ‘Canes from the transfer portal.

Welcome to the family.
