Tennessee (17-2, 4-2 SEC) dominated the game from the outset, with Lanier providing the early spark. Jahmai Mashack and Jordan Gainey both contributed 10 points, while Felix Okpara nearly recorded a double-double, finishing with 12 rebounds and 9 points. Zakai Zeigler was also a key contributor, adding 9 points, 7 assists, and 5 steals, showcasing his all-around skills.
Mississippi State (15-4, 3-3 SEC), who had been struggling in recent weeks, dropped their third game in four contests, all against ranked opponents.
