The Indiana Hoosiers added another member to their 2026 high school recruiting class in four-star defensive lineman Gabe Hill.

Gabriel Hill announced his commitment to Indiana Saturday on his Instagram page.

The 6-foot-2 and 295-pound Hill is a four-star prospect and the No. 261 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 26 defensive lineman according to the average of the national recruiting outlets and the 247 Sports Composite

Hill visited Indiana in April and selected the Hoosiers over offers from Rutgers, Texas A&M, LSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue, Minnesota, James Madison, Liberty, Notre Dame, Illinois, Louisville, Iowa State, Tennessee, Kansas and many others.

Hill had 44 solo tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hurries, and 9 sacks as a junior in 2024 at Naperville H.S in Naperville, Ill. His high school teammate Jacob Bell who starts at quarterback is also a member of the Hooisers football program as he signed with Indiana in 2025.

Scouting Report on Hill via Allen Trieu of 247 Sports

“Hill’s versatility makes him a good fit for the Hoosiers. He can play end and he can play nose depending on how his body continues to develop. They have several similar body types on the defensive line now.

Indiana has a really good class going and the defensive front seven group is very strong. Hill lets them continue to work their way into Illinois and should pair well with recent interior defensive line addition Blake Smythe.”
