Incoming NC State Hoops Star Honored with Elite Invite

NC State men’s basketball is making waves with its 2025 recruiting class, highlighted by the commitment of five-star shooting guard Matthew Able. Ranked No. 26 nationally by 247Sports, Able chose the Wolfpack over programs like Texas, Alabama, and Michigan after decommitting from Miami. His decision marks the first five-star recruit for NC State in nearly a decade, signaling a significant boost to the program’s future.

Head coach Will Wade, in his inaugural season, has emphasized building a roster that blends talent with grit. He envisions a team that plays hard, is connected, and competes at a high level. Wade’s leadership has already attracted other notable talents, including four-star guard RJ Greer and power forward Zymicah Wilkins.

With the addition of Able and the ongoing recruitment efforts, NC State’s 2025 class is shaping up to be one of the most promising in recent years. The Wolfpack are poised to make a significant impact in the ACC and on the national stage. Fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead.
