Fans were in awe the Celtics actually did this, considering their first pick is nowhere close to where Flagg will be selected.
“??? Are we trying to move up or,” one asked.
One fan put it bluntly, writing, “This makes zero sense.”
“Say What?” a fan asked. “Does that mean Boston will have to give the Dallas Mavericks every Boston asset just for 1 guy, including the Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge too? Doesnt sound credible for a team that just won a title last year.”
“This should genuinely be considered tampering,” said another.
The Celtics have the No. 28 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Pending any surprises, Flagg will not be available at that pick.
