The England midfielder scored as City defeated Brazilian side Fluminense 4-0 in the final in Jeddah on Friday to add the global title to four previous trophies already won in 2023.
“We are not used to playing in this heat, so it was difficult,” Foden said on TNT Sports. “But we are delighted with the outcome.” We’ve crossed the ‘world’.

Julian Alvarez set City on their road to a dominant victory when he scored after only 40 seconds by pouncing on a rebound after Nathan Ake hit the post.

Foden caused an own goal before the halftime to extend City’s lead, and then added the third himself.
Alvarez put the seal on the club’s latest triumph with his second, two minutes from time.
