When Crook says that certain fans are just not able to be happy, he is correct. Even though the team has been winning games, placing sixth, seventh, fourteenth, and currently sixth once more, and having taken home European trophy, the criticisms of the style of play are still coming in.
Surely it would be preferable to play a little less attractive football that has the ability to bring out the best in the squad than to play ostentatious, elegant football that produces different results?
The Hammers should be more concerned about remembering that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side if they decide to split ways with Moyes in the summer. He deserves considerably more respect than he currently receives.
