One of the highest ranked recruits that has taken an official visit to Georgia already this June is offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 40 overall player in the country and the No. 3 player at his position in the 2026 recruiting class, so it’s clear how important Ogboko is to Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class.
Ogboko officially visited Georgia the weekend of June 6 and has also taken visits to other blue blood programs like Clemson and Florida. He also has a visit scheduled with Ohio State this weekend with one final visit to Notre Dame next weekend. However, even after all of these visits and the two upcoming visits still on the books, Ogboko is officially trending to Georgia after the latest prediction from On3’s Steve Wiltfong for UGA to win this recruitment.
#Georgia has just received a prediction to land 4-star OT Ekene Ogboko by Steve Wiltfong of ON3.
The OT from Garner, NC ranks as the no. 68 player and the no. 6 offensive tackle in the country
One major thing going Georgia’s way in this recruitment is that Ogboko’s older brother Nnamdi is a current defensive lineman for Georgia. So the chance to play with his older brother in Athens might be too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Georgia clearly has a lot going for them in this recruitment, but their efforts to win this battle are far from over. This is especially true if Ogboko does still take his visit to Ohio State and Notre Dame the next two weekendEs.
Regardless, Georgia is officially the team trending in Ogboko’s recruitment and could be nearing yet another commitment from an elite prospect. And with his older brother likely in his ear, this recruitment could realistically end any day now.
