Georgia Bulldogs Add Talented Guard Jordan Ross to Roster
The University of Georgia men’s basketball program has secured a significant addition to its 2025-2026 roster with the commitment of Jordan Ross, a transfer guard from Saint Mary’s College. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound sophomore brings a wealth of experience and a versatile skillset to Athens, bolstering the Bulldogs’ backcourt.
Ross, a former four-star recruit, spent his first two collegiate seasons in the West Coast Conference under coach Randy Bennett at Saint Mary’s. As a sophomore in the 2024-2025 season, he started all 35 games for the Gaels, averaging 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 26.7 minutes per contest. He demonstrated his scoring ability by reaching double figures in 13 games, with a season-high of 19 points against Arizona State. Notably, Ross also has NCAA Tournament experience, having played in Saint Mary’s second-round appearance in the 2025 tournament. In their first-round win against Vanderbilt, he contributed 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Prior to his time at Saint Mary’s, Ross was a highly regarded prospect out of Compass Prep in Arizona. He was ranked among the top players in his class by various recruiting services, including a consensus top-150 national ranking. His high school career also included stints at Pleasant Grove High School in Utah, where he showcased his playmaking abilities as a point guard.
Ross is the fourth transfer to commit to Mike White’s Georgia program this offseason, joining Cal transfer Jeremiah Wilkinson, Wofford transfer Justin Bailey, and BYU transfer Kanon Catchings. These additions, along with the signing of four-star recruits Jacob Wilkins and Kareem Stagg, and three-star Jackson McVey, signal a significant reshaping of the Bulldogs’ roster following several departures.
With two years of eligibility remaining, Ross is expected to provide immediate depth and contribute to Georgia’s aspirations of making consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances for the first time since 2015. His experience as a starting guard on a successful Saint Mary’s team, coupled with his pedigree as a former top recruit, makes him a valuable asset for the Bulldogs as they look to build on their recent tournament berth.
