Merritt Beason, Nebraska Volleyball Alum and All-American, Returns to Alabama as a Volleyball Coach
Merritt Beason, a Nebraska Volleyball alum and former All-American, is returning to her roots in Alabama to take on an exciting new challenge. After an illustrious career with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Beason has made the decision to transition from player to coach, bringing her extensive knowledge, skills, and passion for the game back to the state where her journey began.
Beason’s return to Alabama marks the next step in what has already been a remarkable career. Known for her fierce determination and unmatched volleyball IQ, Beason quickly became one of the standout players in the nation during her time at Nebraska. “I always knew coaching was something I’d be interested in after I finished playing,” Beason said, reflecting on her time at Nebraska. “When I was at Nebraska, I learned so much not only about the game but about life and leadership. I’m excited to bring that knowledge back to Alabama and help young athletes grow both on and off the court.”
