Five University of Kentucky football players have been named to the 2025 Collegiate All-Commonwealth Team by the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame, recognizing their excellence both on and off the field.
π Kentucky Wildcats Honorees
Alex Afari Jr. β A senior linebacker from Cincinnati, Afari has played in 38 games with 21 starts. In the 2024 season, he recorded 62 tackles and led the team with 11.0 tackles for loss. Off the field, he’s a communication major who made the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and the Deanβs List in Spring 2024.
Ty Bryant β A junior defensive back from Lexington, Bryant started 10 games last season, tallying 41 tackles, two forced fumbles, and an interception. Academically, he’s a three-time Deanβs List honoree and was named to the 2024 Division I Academic All-District Team.
Jager Burton β A standout offensive lineman, Burton has been a key contributor to the Wildcats’ offensive front, demonstrating both athletic prowess and leadership.
Fred Farrier II β A senior wide receiver from Frankfort, Farrier transferred from UAB and played in all 12 games last season, recording 13 catches for 126 yards. He’s majoring in community and leadership development.
Josh Kattus β A senior tight end from Cincinnati, Kattus has played in 33 games with 15 starts, amassing 21 catches for 310 yards and five touchdowns. He’s also been recognized for his community service and academic achievements, including being named to the SEC Community Service Team and the Frank G. Ham Society of Character.
The Collegiate All-Commonwealth Team honors players from Kentucky colleges and universities who exhibit leadership on the field and in the classroom. A ceremony recognizing the 2025 team will be held on Friday, June 27, in Frankfort, with honorees also celebrated during the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fameβs Purple Jacket Dinner Party and Induction Ceremony that evening at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Lexington.
