Five Kentucky Wildcats Make ESPN’s NBA Draft Top 100 Rankings
The Kentucky Wildcats have once again proven their status as an NBA pipeline, with five former players featured in ESPN’s latest Top 100 NBA Draft rankings. The list includes Koby Brea, Amari Williams, Jaxson Robinson, Lamont Butler, and Andrew Carr—each of whom made significant contributions to the Wildcats’ 2024–25 season under head coach Mark Pope.
This recognition is a testament to Kentucky’s player development and the program’s ability to prepare athletes for the next level. All five players brought different strengths to the floor, and their diverse skill sets are what make them stand out as draft prospects.
Koby Brea, known for his sharpshooting and off-ball movement, carved out a reputation as one of the SEC’s most reliable perimeter threats. Big man Amari Williams anchored the defense with shot-blocking and rebounding dominance. Meanwhile, Jaxson Robinson provided scoring punch and clutch shooting throughout the season. Lamont Butler, a tenacious defender and vocal leader, often guarded the opponent’s best player. Andrew Carr rounded out the group with versatility, playing both forward spots and bringing a high basketball IQ.
Coach Mark Pope praised the group for their dedication. “Each of these guys worked relentlessly, and it’s no surprise to see them get this kind of recognition,” Pope said. “They embraced our system, competed at the highest level, and now they’re on the doorstep of achieving a lifelong dream.”
With multiple Wildcats appearing in the Top 100, Kentucky is once again set to be well-represented on draft night. The success of these players reinforces the program’s reputation as one of the premier launchpads for professional basketball careers.
As the NBA Draft approaches, Big Blue Nation will be watching proudly—knowing that the next wave of Wildcats is ready to make their mark on the league.
