Duke University’s head men’s basketball coach, Jon Scheyer, has been named a semifinalist for the 2025 Werner Ladder Naismith Men’s College Coach of the Year award. This recognition highlights Scheyer’s exceptional leadership in his second year at the helm of the Blue Devils.
In his inaugural season (2023-2024), Scheyer guided Duke to a 27-9 record and a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Building on that success, the 2024-2025 season saw the Blue Devils achieve a 26-6 record, finishing tied for second in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Notably, Duke’s impressive 17-3 conference record underscored their strong performance under Scheyer’s guidance.
