On Sunday, Duke target Nate Ament ended his recruitment by announcing for Tennessee. The 6-9 5-star recruit from Virginia chose Tennessee over Duke, Kentucky and Louisville and is the highest-rated recruit in the history of Tennessee basketball.
We have no idea where one-time Vol Bernard King was rated, but he’s almost certainly the best player ever to come out of Tennessee. If Ament is anything close to King, he’ll be special.
We wish he had chosen Duke obviously, but it’s his choice and his choice alone. Best of luck to him in Knoxville.
