Dominika Paurová missed the entirety of last season after going down with an ACL injury while representing Czechia in a game against Iceland in the FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket back in July.
The 6-foot-1 guard was brought in to be a potential starter — probably the first person off the bench at minimum. In the 2023-24 season, she was the sixth man on an Oregon State team that went to the Elite Eight before falling to undefeated South Carolina.
We did a FILM ROOM article on Paurová back in September, but to quickly summarize what type of player Kentucky will be getting in Paurová, she’s a high-energy type of player.
Not only is she a solid perimeter shooter (37.2% shooting from three-point range) and a versatile defender, but everything she does is at 110%. High-speed, high-octane, all the time.
