West Ham United are hoping to transfer striker Danny Ings in January, but his exorbitant wages are proving to be a huge sticking block.

HITC Football believes that the Hammers want to bring in a new attacker in January, but must first move Danny Ings before a successor can be signed.
Ings is reported to be West Ham’s highest-paid player, earning approximately £150,000 per week, and his contract continues until 2026.
Wolves, Nottingham Forest, and Burnley have all expressed interest, but due to his salaries, a short-term loan may now be the best option, with the majority of his income covered.
West Ham struggle to sell Ings.
The decision to sign Danny Ings from Aston Villa a year ago did not work out for either side.
The 31-year-old was battling for minutes with Ollie Watkins, and when Unai Emery decided that the England international was his first choice attacker, Ings was free to leave.
West Ham pounced when their attempt to recruit Gianluca Scamacca failed, and Michail Antonio’s fitness was an issue as the squad battled on two fronts.
However, Ings has only made eight league starts since moving to the London Stadium, scoring twice, while Antonio has remained first choice in the Conference League as well.
Emery’s choice appears to have paid off, with Watkins having the finest season of his career, while West Ham struggle to move Ings after just a year at the club.
