On January 31, the Dutch football news site stated that Mubama is now a backup option if they are unable to get Monaco’s Myron Boadu.

Twente are expected to make a choice on which striker to pursue before the transfer deadline in the next 48 hours, since if they cannot reach an agreement with Monaco, their whole emphasis will go to Mubama.
Fingers crossed!
It has become clear that Mubama will not be given much playing time outside of late cameo appearances, therefore a loan transfer to Europe before the conclusion of the year would be an excellent opportunity for the 19-year-old.
A transfer to the Netherlands to perfect his talent, with the goal of eventually returning to East London, would be ideal for Mubama, who has progressed beyond the stage of youth football and will be seeking to play consistently in a high division.
Championship loans had previously been discussed for the striker, but nothing came to fruition, so learning in the Eredivisie would be the greatest choice for his future at this point.
With only six months left on his current contract at the London Stadium, even with the possibility of an additional year at the end, talk has been rife regarding the bright youngster’s future, but ideally he can gain some senior experience and return to secure a position in the side.
