Crystal Palace vs. Brighton & Hove Albion in Premier League Match Day 18

The Europa League Seagulls face an old foe for the first time since 1988.

And we shall continue to write because of Boxing Day.

The Seagulls start with Joao Pedro in front of a solid midfield of Carlos Baleba, Pascal Gross, Simon Adringa, Kaoru Mitoma, and Billy Gilmour.

Lewis Dunk is captain, and Bart Verbruggen is the favorite goalkeeper once more.

Last season, Albion drew at Selhurst Park in a contentious match using VAR.

Crystal Palace are missing captain Joel Ward, who suffered an injury in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson would have been encouraged by his team’s fightback against the champions.

Brighton supporters will be happy that Wilfried Zaha, who departed the south London club at the conclusion of last season for Turkish league champions Galatasaray, will no longer be facing them.

Brighton are tenth in the Premier League after 17 games, with 26 points. Palace are 15th in the table, with 17 points from the same amount of games.
