Arkansas Recap
The Arkansas Razorbacks were no match for us as we secured a dominant victory, setting a program record for the most 100-point games in a season and achieving our largest win over an SEC team since 2013. Mikayla Blakes led the charge with an impressive 24 points. It seems we’ve rediscovered our rhythm, and we’re eager to maintain this momentum against Alabama.
Alabama Preview
Today, we head to Tuscaloosa for what promises to be one of our most evenly-matched games of the season. This game is crucial for breaking ties as we approach the tournament. The 6’2″ Zaay Green spearheads Alabama’s offense, averaging 17 points per game, closely followed by fellow senior Sarah Ashlee Barker with 16 points per game. While our rebounding numbers are comparable to Alabama’s, the Crimson Tide excel in three-point shooting, making about 1.5 more threes per game with a five-percent higher accuracy.
Fortunately, Alabama concedes the most rebounds of nearly any team in the conference and has a worse rebounding differential than we do, which could play to our advantage. The height difference should also be less of an issue compared to other top teams we’ve faced. We’re excited to see how this game unfolds and are optimistic about our chances.
