Ole Miss vs Mississippi State baseball series changed because of weather. Here’s the new schedule.
OXFORD — Ole Miss baseball’s three-game series against Mississippi State will begin with a doubleheader.
The series was initially supposed to have games on May 9-11. Because inclement weather is expected to roll into the Starkville area on May 10, the schedule has changed.
The No. 22 Rebels (33-15, 13-11 SEC) will play the Bulldogs (29-19, 10-14) on May 9 (4 p.m., SEC Network+). The second game will begin 40 minutes after the conclusion of the first. It will be broadcast on SEC Network.
The third game of the series is still scheduled for May 11 at 1 p.m.The Rebels and Bulldogs have met once this season in the Governor’s Cup. Ole Miss won that game 8-7 in extra innings.
Mississippi State is 4-0 since Justin Parker took over as interim coach after Chris Lemonis was fired. The Bulldogs have beaten Memphis 18-5 and swept Kentucky in a three-game series under Parker.
