BYU Football Flips Three-Star WR Terrance Saryon from Washington
The BYU Cougars have secured a significant addition to their 2026 recruiting class by flipping three-star wide receiver Terrance Saryon
Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 160 pounds, Saryon is recognized for his agility and playmaking abilities. In his junior season, he recorded 51 receptions for 1,055 yards and 10 touchdowns, including a remarkable game with nine catches for 282 yards and five touchdowns against Shelton High School.
Saryon’s decision to switch commitments was influenced by several factors. He cited BYU’s offensive scheme and the program’s culture as key reasons for his choice. “The most important factors for me ultimately choosing BYU was really the scheme of the offense and how well I would fit in it,” Saryon stated. “Also, another reason why I chose to come to BYU is the culture; the culture is amazing and it starts with the people inside the building.”
The recruitment process intensified after BYU extended an offer in April 2025. Saryon took an unofficial visit to Provo, where he connected with the coaching staff and participated in workouts with current and future BYU receivers, including Jojo Phillips, Parker Kingston, and fellow commit Legend Glasker. His relationship with wide receivers coach Fesi Sitake and teammate Brock Harris also played a role in his decision.
With Saryon’s commitment, BYU’s 2026 recruiting class continues to gain momentum, now featuring eight commitments and ranking among the top classes in program history. Saryon is the third-highest-rated prospect in the class, joining a group that includes four-star tight end Brock Harris and offensive lineman Bott Mulitalo.
Saryon’s addition provides BYU with a dynamic slot receiver who brings speed and versatility to the offense. His commitment reflects the program’s growing appeal and the coaching staff’s ability to attract top talent.
