I have worked with UK Kentucky Men’s Basketball players for over 17 years. They are 18 -22 year old kids that have worked hard to get to Division 1 basketball. They fight over what kind of candy they want in my candy bowl, they come to class after getting home at 4 am after a big loss with their hoodies over their heads because they are so disappointed. They try hard, are in fish bowl but much bigger than they could have ever imagined. Sure ,many make millions but at this stage they are kids trying their hardest to be successful and as Oscar says so well… they are not “machines”. #perspective
