BREAKING: Tyrese Proctor Declares for NBA Draft — Duke’s Veteran Star Leaves Big Shoes to Fill

In a major announcement that’s turning heads across college basketball, Duke junior guard Tyrese Proctor has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft. After a standout season and a deep NCAA Tournament run, Proctor is ready to take his talents to the next level.

The 6-foot-6 Australian guard started all 38 games this season, averaging a career-high 12.4 points, along with 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. His efficiency was elite — shooting over 45% from the field and 40.5% from three.

Head Coach Jon Scheyer praised the junior’s development and leadership, saying, “It’s time for him to chase that NBA dream.”

With fellow standouts Kon Knueppel and Cooper Flagg also heading to the draft, Duke is facing a major roster reset. Can they reload in time for another run? Or will Proctor’s departure mark the start of a new era?

All eyes now turn to the NBA Draft, set for June 25–26 in Brooklyn.
