Son Of NFL Legend Charles Woodson Lands Major Scholarship Offer.
In the 1990s, Charles Woodson became one of the best college football players ever en route to a Hall of Fame NFL career. Now his son will get a chance to follow in his footsteps.
On Tuesday, Charles Woodson Jr. announced that he has received a scholarship offer from Texas A&M. It’s the fifth offer he’s received this year and the third from a power conference. He previously received offers from Syracuse and Ole Miss.
“Blessed to receive an offer from Texas A&M!!!” he wrote, tagging a number of coaches and reporters.
But his father saw the message too and offered a message of encouragement for his high schooler: “Build your Legend son.
247Sports rates Charles Jr. as a three-star safety in the Class of 2027 and the No. 352 recruit in the country. He is the No. 32 safety in the nation and the No. 44 player from the state of Florida. It’s still very early in the recruiting process, so there’s no real telling where he’ll go. But it will certainly be interesting to see if the University of Michigan winds up making him an offer.
From 1995 to 1997, Charles Woodson was a dominant force for the Wolverines, setting records as a cornerback while putting in work as both a punt returner and a wide receiver where needed. He was about as close to a triple-threat as the college football world had seen in generations
