Former Alabama football players have begun reacting to a comparison made by former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones, who likened Ohio State head coach Ryan Day to legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban.
Jones highlighted on social media that Day secured his first National Championship as a head coach at a younger age than Saban did, following Ohio State’s victory over Notre Dame.
“8 years younger than Saban when he won his 1st National Title. 2 years earlier during his head coaching career than Saban,” Jones posted on X.
This observation has caught the attention of several former Alabama players, including Mack Wilson and Damien Harris, sparking discussions and reflections on Saban’s legacy as they approach the 2024 NFL Draft.
