Auburn Tigers’ standout forward, Johni Broome, has etched his name into NCAA basketball history by becoming the first player to record over 2,500 points, 1,500 rebounds, and 400 blocks in a collegiate career. This unprecedented achievement underscores Broome’s exceptional versatility and dominance on the court.

Throughout the 2024–25 season, Broome averaged 18.7 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, leading Auburn to a top seed in the NCAA Tournament. His performance earned him the SEC Player of the Year award, joining the ranks of Auburn legends Charles Barkley and Chris Porter.

Broome’s stellar season culminated in his selection as a unanimous First-Team All-American, recognized by all four major selectors: the Associated Press (AP), National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), and Sporting News. This marks the first time in Auburn’s program history that a player has received such a unanimous honor.

In addition to his scoring and rebounding milestones, Broome set Auburn’s single-season records with 389 rebounds and 21 double-doubles. His leadership and consistent performance were instrumental in Auburn’s deep run in the NCAA Tournament, where he averaged 16.8 points and 12 rebounds, guiding the Tigers to the Final Four.

Following his historic collegiate career, Broome has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, aiming to bring his talents to the professional level.
