Arsenal’s season is in danger of unravelling following another setback on Sunday.
Arsenal fell at the first hurdle in the FA Cup after losing 2-0 to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium. The hosts had several opportunities but failed to score until Jakub Kiwior headed Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross into his own net. Luis Diaz eventually scored in the 95th minute.

Arsenal are currently out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. They are also fourth in the Premier League table, having picked up one point in their past three games, putting them five points behind leaders Liverpool. The Gunners will hunt for reinforcements in January, but who are they interested in? Here are the newest rumors…
Arsenal chase Onana’s signature
Arsenal are looking to recruit Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Football London. Onana, 23, has excelled in the Premier League since joining Everton from Lille in August 2022 for £33 million, appearing in 47 games.
It is thought that the Gunners are considering making a £50 million bid, which may entice Everton. The Merseyside club is in financial trouble after earning a 10-point punishment earlier this season for breaking Premier League financial regulations.
Everton will do all they can to keep Onana, whom they value at £90 million. According to reports in Belgium, Arsenal and the Toffees are in ‘intense negotiations’ about signing the midfielder. Onana is a Belgian international, with nine senior caps.
