ARMANDO BACOT SIGNS EXHIBIT 10 DEAL WITH UTAH JAZZ AFTER GOING UNDRAFTED
Former North Carolina standout Armando Bacot is getting his shot at the NBA. Despite going undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, Bacot has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Utah Jazz, giving him a valuable opportunity to prove himself at the professional level.
The news, officially reported shortly after the draft, sparked a wave of support from Tar Heel fans and former teammates who believe Bacot has the grit, size, and work ethic to earn a permanent place on an NBA roster. The Exhibit 10 deal is often seen as a stepping stone — a one-year, non-guaranteed minimum salary contract that allows a player to attend training camp and potentially be converted to a two-way deal. If Bacot is waived and then spends at least 60 days with the Jazz’s G League affiliate, he’ll be eligible for a bonus of up to $75,000.
At UNC, Bacot was a dominant force in the paint. He left Chapel Hill as the school’s all-time leading rebounder and a double-double machine. His physical presence, rebounding instincts, and interior scoring were key components of the Tar Heels’ success during his collegiate career.
While some scouts questioned his offensive versatility at the next level, few doubted his toughness and leadership. The Jazz appear willing to take a chance on Bacot’s potential — and Bacot, in turn, is ready to fight for a roster spot.
“Nothing’s been handed to me — and I wouldn’t want it any other way,” Bacot said in a brief statement.
With Summer League, training camp, and preseason ahead, Armando Bacot now enters the proving ground. And if history has shown anything, it’s that he never backs down from a challenge.
