Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are set to begin the WNBA new season with a road matchup against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
Reese is heading into her second season in the league after establishing herself as a star during her rookie year with the Sky.
After Reese’s rookie season, the Sky bolstered their roster.
Chicago added WNBA veteran and former Sky player Courtney Vandersloot during the offseason. Vandersloot brings experience, having won the WNBA championship last season with the New York Liberty. Vandersloot and Quigley spoke on the birth of their first child, mentioning they are excited for the journey ahead.
“We are over the moon to welcome our baby girl to the world,” Vandersloot and Quigley told People. “We have been dreaming of this moment for a long time, and it’s better than we could have ever imagined!” the couple continued.

Vandersloot, who competed with the Liberty last season, averaged 6.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game with the WNBA champions.
Before her return to Chicago, Vandersloot shared big news with fans on social media. Vandersloot and former WNBA star Allie Quigley welcomed their first child together.
“Courtney Vandersloot and Allie Quigley are expanding their team!” posted People magazine after an exclusive take with Vandersloot. “🤍 The Chicago Sky player and her basketball star wife welcomed their first baby together, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal.”
Reese liked the collaborated post with Vandersloot and People, seemingly showing support for her teammate.
