The Bears want to speak with Eagles senior offensive assistant Marcus Brady, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Brady is the only candidate with a direct relationship to Eberflus among those announced. He joined the Colts staff as assistant quarterbacks coach under Frank Reich in 2018 when Eberflus became defensive coordinator, then quarterbacks coach in 2019-20, then offensive coordinator in 2021. He accomplished this for two years, until Reich was sacked in the 2022 season.

Last year he joined the Eagles as senior offensive assistant on Nick Sirianni’s staff. When he was assistant quarterbacks coach and quarterbacks coach with the Colts, it was with Sirianni as offensive coordinator.
Prior to his time with the Colts, Brady, 44, was a Canadian Football League assistant from 2009-2017, and was on the staff of Marc Trestman for one year in 2012 with Montreal. He was in Montreal from 2009-2012 and the Toronto Argonauts from 2013-2017.
With the Colts under Reich as coordinator, his 2021 offense finished ninth in scoring, second in rushing and 26th in passing. They were 30th in scoring in 2022, 23rd in rushing and 23rd in passing. The Colts had Carson Wentz as QB in 2021 and Jacoby Brissett in 2020.
The other offensive coordinator candidate with a past indirect tie to Eberflus was through Reich. Carolina offensive coordinator Thomas Brown never worked with Eberflus but was the coordinator for Reich last year in 2023 with the Panthers.
