Justin Jefferson has said that he feels a little “jealous” of Joe Burrow and JaMarr Chase, his former college teammates, who are now teammates on the Bengals.
Together, the three players shone at LSU, where they won the 2019 national championship. Burrow and Jefferson were picked in 2020, and Chase moved to Cincinnati the next year to join Burrow.
Even though Jefferson has become as the league’s best receiver since moving to Minnesota, he can’t help but feel a little jealous of Burrow and Chase’s NFL success.
“I adore their chemistry together, but there’s definitely jealousy on that side,” Jefferson admitted to comic Kevin Hart on LOL Network’s “Cold As Balls.”
Regarding the two’s friendship at school, Jefferson continued, “We It was constantly competitive because we always wanted the best for each other, but we also wanted to outperform one other.
Being at LSU with him was great, though—he’s my brother. That means it’s something that will endure forever.
The 2019 recipient of the Fred Biletnikoff Award, which honors the greatest receiver in the country, was Chase, not Jefferson.
