The Allman Betts Family Revival is set to return for its eighth annual tour, a tribute to the enduring legacy of the Allman Brothers Band. Scheduled to kick off on November 30 in St. Charles, Illinois, the tour will visit major cities across the U.S., including Boston, New York, and Seattle, before concluding in Kansas City on December 15.
Devon Allman and Duane Betts, sons of founding members Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, will lead the performances alongside the Allman Betts Band. This year’s tour promises a unique experience, featuring two comprehensive sets: one dedicated to the Allman Brothers Band’s 1970s Duane Allman era, and the other highlighting their 1990s comeback.
The Revival’s expanded lineup boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Luther and Cody Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars), Jimmy Hall (Jeff Beck, Wet Willie), Anders Osborne, and Lamar Williams Jr. Special guests such as Sierra Hull, Grace Bowers, and Jake Shimabukuro will join select shows, adding fresh layers to the musical tribute.
Devon Allman emphasized the significance of the tour, stating, “With the number 8 symbolizing infinity, we’re committed to keeping this music alive forever in a live format.” For Duane Betts, this year holds extra meaning, being the first Revival since his father’s passing.
The Brotherhood of Light, renowned for its iconic visuals during the Allman Brothers Band’s historic performances, will return to enhance the tour’s nostalgic atmosphere.
