Defensive lineman LT Overton doesn’t take a passive approach to any arena of football. He made that much clear during a recent interview.
Overton, taking part in the “All In” special on Alabama football spring practice set to premier at 6 p.m. CT on Monday on the SEC Network, discussed his mindset and approach to football.
“Really just to dominate,” Overton said. “Really strike fear into the man in front of me. That’s how I go about my day every day when we go on the practice field. How I go about it, practice, games, scrimmage, doesn’t matter; I’m better than you. That’s just how I feel.”
Overton is fresh off his first season with the Crimson Tide. He tallied 42 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2024.
His sack total wasn’t high, but Overton tallied more pressures than any other Alabama player this past season. His 39 total pressures (sacks, hits, hurries) ranked 12th among all SEC players, per Pro Football Focus’ charting.
Overton transferred to the Crimson Tide from Texas A&M, where he spent two seasons.
