Newcastle United will be looking for a new player this summer, and one player they sought in January is expected to be available.
It has previously been reported that the Magpies would attempt to add an attacker ahead of the 2024/25 season, following a dismal January transfer window.
Newcastle were unable to make any significant additions owing to profit and sustainability regulations, but that did not prevent a number of players from being linked with transfers to St James’ Park.
One of those was Bologna attacker Joshua Zirkzee, who has nine goals and six assists in all competitions this season. The 22-year-old has been identified as a target for Newcastle, and it will be intriguing to see whether he is on the club’s radar this summer ahead of next season.
