“Congrats to Nick Saban on being inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame! Saban went 13-5 against LSU during his 17 seasons at Alabama, including a dominant win in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game at the Superdome in New Orleans. I bet it wasn’t easy for LSU fans to cheer for him—especially after all the whippings he put on those Tigers,” one fan wrote
While Saban is better known for his time at Alabama than LSU, he still has great ties to Louisiana. Over the weekend, he was officially inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
“I felt like we did something to raise the bar here. And the program has been outstanding ever since,” he said about his time at LSU.”It’s not hard now that he’s retired.. For the ones that was around during the 80’s and 90’s we understand what he meant to LSU.. He’s the Godfather of LSU football.. HOF type players use to leave the state.. Saban was the first coach to get the best players to stay home..” one fan added.
