BYU Trio Turning Heads in NBA Pre-Draft Workouts
It’s been a busy summer for BYU basketball stars Trevin Knell, Egor Demin, and Mady Sissoko—better known to Cougar fans as a trio that brought grit, energy, and leadership to Provo. Now, they’re taking their talents to the national stage as they complete workouts with multiple NBA teams ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft.
From the mountains of Utah to the hardwoods of NBA training facilities, the three former Cougars are making the most of their pre-draft opportunities. Their stops include workouts with several franchises like the Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, and more—a total of 17 NBA teams are listed.
Egor Demin, the 6’9” guard/forward with a versatile game and international polish, has been on scouts’ radars thanks to his size, vision, and shooting touch.
Trevin Knell, known for his three-point shooting and high basketball IQ, is drawing attention as a potential sniper off the bench at the next level.
Mady Sissoko (Mawot Mag), brings athleticism, physicality, and defensive tenacity—traits that often translate well to an NBA role.
While none of the three are projected as first-round locks, their names are buzzing in NBA circles, and individual workouts are a great chance to shift the narrative and find the right fit.
Cougar Nation, who do you think has the best shot at hearing their name on draft night? Could any of them sneak into a rotation spot as a rookie?
Let’s celebrate this BYU crew making moves on the national stage! 🏀💼
