4-star recruit Messiah Tilson commits to Kentucky Football
Kentucky now has a Prince and a Messiah.
Jason Marcum has been covering the Cincinnati Bengals for Cincy Jungle since 2014 and the University of Kentucky for A Sea Of Blue since 2015.
The Kentucky Wildcats’ hot streak in football recruiting continued Monday with what could go down as one of the most significant commitments in their 2026 class.
It came when 4-star safety Messiah Tilson announced his pledge to the Wildcats. Wilson made the call while holding additional scholarship offers from the likes of Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Kansas, and Kansas State, among others.
The 6-foot-2, 165-pound product of Gilford High School (IL) is ranked 26th among safeties and eighth in the state of Illinois, according to 247 Sports. He officially visited Kentucky on June 3rd. Safeties coach Frank Buffano was the lead recruiter.
Tilson joins 4-star tackle Jarvis Strickland, 3-star safety Jordan Crutchfield, 3-star wide receiver Prince Jean, 3-star wide receiver Davis McCray, and 3-star offensive tackle Cameron Miller in Kentucky’s growing class of 2026.
