Rebels RB Quinshon Judkins Sets Sights on Heisman in Junior Campaign
Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins is gearing up for a potentially historic 2025 season — and he’s not shying away from the spotlight. Entering his junior year, Judkins has made it clear that his eyes are on the Heisman Trophy, and his offseason work suggests he’s serious about the pursuit.
Coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons, Judkins has already established himself as one of the premier backs in college football. But in 2025, he’s aiming for more than just SEC accolades — he wants national recognition. “The goal is to be the best in the country,” Judkins said. “I’ve worked for this, and now it’s time to show the world.”
Judkins has transformed his body in the offseason, adding lean muscle while maintaining his trademark explosiveness. He’s also refined his pass-catching ability, hoping to add another dimension to his game and become a true three-down back.
“I’m trying to be more complete,” he explained. “Catching passes out of the backfield, picking up blitzes — that’s how you separate yourself.”
Head coach Lane Kiffin has praised Judkins’ maturity and leadership, calling him “the heartbeat of the offense.” Kiffin also hinted that the offense will be built around Judkins this season, giving him plenty of opportunities to post the kind of numbers that catch Heisman voters’ attention.
In 2024, Judkins rushed for 1,320 yards and 13 touchdowns. With a veteran offensive line returning and a new-look passing game that could open up running lanes, Judkins is primed to break out even further.
The Heisman Trophy remains one of college football’s most elusive prizes — especially for running backs. But with talent, work ethic, and opportunity on his side, Quinshon Judkins might just have the perfect storm to make a serious run.
