Ohio State’s football family is asking for prayers for one of their own this weekend.
A former Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver was involved in a serious ATV accident over the weekend. Ex-Buckeyes wide receiver Julian Fleming was seriously injured in an ATV accident in Pennsylvania on Friday night. He and his girlfriend were reportedly riding an ATV when they got into an accident with a deer.
Fleming’s girlfriend was pronounced dead at the scene. Fleming, meanwhile, was rushed to the hospital for his injuries. He has reportedly since been released.Prayers are pouring in for Fleming and his family on Monday morning.
“Incredibly sad news- former Ohio State/Penn State WR Julian Fleming was seriously injured in an ATV accident yesterday which claimed the life of his girlfriend, Alissa Boyd. Prayers for Julian and may Alissa’s memory be a blessing 🙏,” one fan wrote.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to the Fleming and Boyd family ❤️,” one fan added.
This crash occurred on Painter Lick Lane in Columbia Township, Bradford County. An ATV was traveling northbound on Painter Lick Lane when it collided with a deer that had jumped out in the roadway. Neither of the occupants were wearing safety equipment. The operator of the ATV sustained serious injuries and was transported to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital,” the report states.
“The passenger sustained extensive injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A recently deceased deer was located on scene consistent with damage observed on the ATV. Assisted on scene by Guthrie EMS, Troy Fire Department and the Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists. This crash is under further investigation at this time.
