In a monumental display of loyalty and generosity, former Nebraska Cornhuskers football legend Ndamukong Suh has reportedly donated $10.8 million to support Head Coach Matt Rhule’s new stadium project. Suh, reflecting on his deep connection to the university, stated, “Nebraska pride lives within me wherever I go.”
This significant contribution is part of Suh’s longstanding commitment to his alma mater. In 2010, he pledged $2.6 million to the University of Nebraska, allocating $2 million to the athletic department for renovations and updates in the North Stadium Strength and Conditioning Center, and $600,000 to the College of Engineering to endow a scholarship.
Suh’s philanthropic efforts have not gone unnoticed. In 2015, he was recognized as the most charitable athlete by Pro Football Talk, highlighting his substantial contributions to the university.
Beyond his financial support, Suh has maintained a strong relationship with the university’s athletic programs. He has expressed interest in supporting Nebraska’s Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives, aiming to assist current student-athletes in navigating the evolving collegiate sports landscape.
Suh’s latest donation is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the university’s athletic infrastructure, reflecting his enduring commitment to the Cornhuskers and their future success
