Nebraska softball star Jordy Bahl has etched her name into NCAA history by becoming just the fourth player ever to achieve both 20 home runs and 20 pitching wins in a single season. This remarkable feat places her among an elite group of two-way players in collegiate softball history.
Bahl’s 20th home run came during the NCAA Tournament against Connecticut, where she delivered a three-run blast that not only propelled the Huskers to a commanding lead but also secured her place in the exclusive 20/20 club. Her performance in that game was outstanding, as she went 2-for-2 at the plate with five RBIs and also pitched three hitless innings, striking out three batters.
Throughout the 2025 season, Bahl has been a dominant force both in the circle and at the plate. She boasts a 25ā6 pitching record with a 1.50 ERA and 270 strikeouts, while offensively, she leads the team with a .475 batting average, 23 home runs, and 59 RBIs.
Her exceptional two-way performance has drawn comparisons to MLB’s Shohei Ohtani, highlighting her unique impact on the game. Bahl’s achievements have not gone unnoticed, as she has been named both the Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Year and is a finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award.
Bahl’s historic season has been instrumental in leading Nebraska to its first NCAA Super Regional appearance since 2013, with the team now just one win away from the Women’s College World Series.
