The Texas Longhorns, under head coach Steve Sarkisian, are intensifying their efforts to bolster their 2025 recruiting class, with official visits scheduled to commence soon. These visits are pivotal as Texas aims to secure commitments from top-tier prospects to enhance their roster. 

 

Key Official Visits on the Horizon

 

Michael Fasusi (OT, Lewisville, TX): Ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle nationally, Fasusi is a priority for the Longhorns. He has already visited Austin twice and is expected to return for an official visit in early April. Texas faces competition from schools like Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, but the Longhorns are optimistic about his commitment .

 

Taz Williams Jr. (WR, Red Oak, TX): Williams, a top 250 recruit nationally, is planning an official visit to Texas in late June. His relationship with wide receivers coach Chris Jackson and the fit within Sarkisian’s offense make Texas a strong contender in his recruitment .

 

Javion Hilson (Edge Rusher, Cocoa, FL): Although committed to Florida State, Hilson is keeping his options open and has scheduled an official visit to Texas. His impressive high school performance, including 14 sacks and 27 tackles for loss, has garnered attention from multiple programs .

 

 

Recent Commitments Strengthening the Class

 

The Longhorns have already secured commitments from several high-profile recruits: 

 

Kade Phillips (CB): A five-star cornerback from Texas, Phillips flipped his commitment back to Texas after briefly considering LSU, bolstering the secondary for the 2025 class .

 

Jonah Williams (S): Ranked as a five-star safety, Williams is expected to contribute immediately to Texas’s defense .
