USTFCCCA Week 8 Rankings just dropped.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Week 8 rankings, released in mid-May 2024, spotlight the nation’s top collegiate track and field programs as they gear up for the NCAA East Regional Championships. These rankings, based on the Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI), provide a comprehensive snapshot of team performances across various events.ย 

 

Top Performers in Week 8

 

Women’s Rankings:

 

University of Mississippi (Ole Miss): The Ole Miss women’s team climbed to No. 9 in the Week 8 USTFCCCA Rating Index with 206.75 points. Key contributors include McKenzie Long, who leads in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.03 seconds, and Jalani Davis, who ranks highly in both the shot put and hammer throw events.ย ย 

 

University of Alabama: The Crimson Tide women’s team secured the No. 8 spot, marking a significant achievement for the program.ย ย 

 

 

Men’s Rankings:

 

University of Alabama: The men’s team is ranked No. 5 nationally, bolstered by standout performances such as Victor Kiprop’s gold medal in the 10,000-meter event at the SEC Outdoor Championships.ย ย 

 

University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS): UCCS men’s team moved up to No. 16 in the Week 8 USTFCCCA National TFRI. The team boasts top-10 rankings in several event groups, including the triple jump and long jump.ย ย
