Breaking down Michigan State football’s offensive line recruiting board in 2026.

Michigan State football head coach Jonathan Smith is looking to make his second recruiting class, the 2026 recruiting class, one of his best yet. The Spartans coaching staff is gearing up for the biggest recruiting month of the calendar year.

May 30th marks the start of the summer official visit season. Summer official visits are an integral part of the process in landing recruits, and it will be the month with the most recruits visiting during the year.

Michigan State and second year head coach Jonathan Smith are gearing up to add to their 2026 recruiting class, and continue building the foundation that Smith is attempting to create in East Lansing.

In this series, we will be breaking down what each position group looks like, and what prospects fans should be monitoring as the official visit season gets ready to begin. After starting with running backs and wide receivers, it is time to break down the offensive lineman that are currently on the board.

With Eli Bickel already locked into the 2026 class, the Spartans will aim for two or three more additions to round out their OL group. Check out who is currently on their board:3-star Khalief Canty

The Detroit Cass Tech product is currently the No. 1 priority on Michigan State’s offensive line big board, and is a prospect that Spartans desperately want to land. A 6’5″, 305 pound tackle, Canty is a highly regarded prospect in MSU’s own backyard. He will be visiting on June 13.

Missouri and North Carolina are the main competition to the Spartans in this recruitment.

3-star Koloi Keli

A Honolulu, Hawaii native, Keli is the latest prospect in the Hawaii to MSU pipeline that the Spartans are making a strong play to land. At 6-foot-3, 290 pounds, Keli projects to the interior OL as either a guard or a center. His visit will start on May 30.

Cal and Hawaii are also in the mix, set to host the prospect on an official visit.

3-star James Williams Jr.

Indianapolis native James Williams Jr. is a late riser in this recruiting class but is getting the full attention from the Michigan State staff. At 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds, Williams is another prospect that translates to the interior part of the offensive line. He will visit East Lansing on June 20.

As of right now, this is a head to head battle between Michigan State and Purdue.
