Never Give UP: With Spring Behind Them, Huskers Ready for Next Step Coach make Big Claims…

Nebraska showed enough to feel good about where it stands as it wraps up the spring season. The Huskers will begin official practices during the last week of July before starting the 2025 season against Pittsburgh on Aug. 22 as part of the AVCA First Serve Showcase.

The Huskers are wrapping up their end-of-the-semester meetings with the coaching staff. They’ll take finals next week before getting time off.

Busboom Kelly will also get her time away for maternity leave. Her due date for her second child is May 19. The players will return to campus for summer camps the first week of June. They will also participate in player-led workouts and open gyms.

Elsewhere, the recruiting cycle begins for the Class of 2027 on June 15. The summer will wrap up with Big Ten Media Days in Chicago July 28-29.

Before the Huskers officially go into summer mode, here’s a look back at the last few months and some thoughts on the program’s accomplishments.
