JUST IN: Miami Heat Lock in Groundbreaking $76 Billion Media Rights Deal with ESPN, Amazon & NBCUniversal Starting 2025-26

In a historic move set to redefine the future of sports broadcasting, the Miami Heat have finalized a colossal 11-year, $76 billion media rights deal with broadcasting giants ESPN, Amazon, and NBCUniversal. The agreement, set to kick off in the 2025–26 NBA season, signals a new era of visibility, innovation, and revenue for one of the league’s most iconic franchises.

The deal includes exclusive national and international rights to stream and air Heat games, pre- and post-game content, and exclusive behind-the-scenes access across multiple platforms. With ESPN maintaining its traditional broadcast role, Amazon is expected to expand digital streaming through Prime Video, while NBCUniversal is slated to bring the Heat to its Peacock platform and reintroduce NBA action to its NBC network for the first time in decades.

This groundbreaking agreement doesn’t just benefit the Heat—it may set a new precedent for how NBA teams negotiate their media futures in the streaming-first era. As cord-cutting continues to reshape the way fans consume sports, the Heat’s ability to tap into tech giants and diversified media platforms places them at the forefront of the league’s evolution.

Financially, the deal is a windfall. The infusion of $76 billion over 11 years ensures long-term financial security, increased salary cap flexibility, and investment opportunities in team development, facilities, and global expansion.

Team President Pat Riley called the agreement a “visionary partnership,” adding that it “cements Miami Heat as not just a basketball team, but a global entertainment brand.” With this bold move, the Heat aren’t just building a championship roster—they’re building the future of sports media.
