Transfer Saga: Ben Roethlisberger suggests Aaron Rodgers might be eyeing Minnesota instead of Pittsburgh

Ben Roethlisberger suggests Aaron Rodgers might be eyeing Minnesota instead of Pittsburgh

Aaron Rodgers has been linked heavily with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who still have a major gap at quarterback. With Mason Rudolph, rookie Will Howard, and Skylar Thompson filling the depth chart, there’s a clear opportunity for Rodgers to take over under center. But despite sightings of Rodgers working out with new Steelers addition DK Metcalf, no deal has materialized.

Ben Roethlisberger addressed the situation on his podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, saying: “I think Aaron secretly, again, just my opinion, I think Aaron is secretly still holding out for Minnesota, which is why he hasn’t signed with the Steelers.”

Roethlisberger further added, “Why else would you go throw to DK and be working out, and put it out blast to everybody that I’m throwing to these guys, but you won’t sign?”
