Beaver Stadium clinched its title as “Best College Football Stadium” over Tiger Stadium in a landslide victory, receiving 72.6% of fan votes.

In typical March Madness fashion, The Athletic conducted a 32-venue bracket comparing the nation’s most prestigious college football stadiums, in which Penn State’s Beaver Stadium took the title as “Best Stadium in College Football.”

The No. 2-seeded Beaver Stadium, known for its vibrant atmosphere and for having the “best student section in college football,” as deemed by Kirk Herbstreit, was ultimately chosen as the fan-favorite candidate.

Top seeds in the bracket included Michigan Stadium, the Rose Bowl, Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium, and Kyle Stadium at Texas A&M. The votes from the Penn State fan base, however, propelled its home venue in the bracket to upset the top-seeded stadiums and claim its victory.

In the bracket rounds, Beaver Stadium conquered Notre Dame Stadium, Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium, and its rivals at Michigan Stadium to advance to the Final Four. Beaver Stadium then upset the top-seeded Rose Bowl Stadium to reach its spot in the championship matchup against LSU’s Tiger Stadium.
